Founded in 1993, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a non-profit organization
devoted to encouraging the responsible management of the world's forests. FSC sets
high standards that ensure forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible,
socially beneficial and economically viable way.

Highlights of the FSC Chain of Custody Process:
- In order to produce this paper, mills secure fiber from FSC certified forests that
meet all the criteria to ensure that the forests are being properly managed.
- FSC has a rigorous chain-of-custody system to verify that labeled products are connected
with certified forests.
- FSC trademarks provide international recognition to organizations who support the
growth of responsible forest management.
